TV Review: Outlander 1X06: The Garrison Commander

OUTLANDER this week was so good. Finally we're back to stuff happening and it being all awesome. I am completely looking forward to more!

Full on Anger going on here!

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="221"] Source: princejax[/caption]

It might have been awesome this week, but it was heartbreaking and makes you despise the person who was front and center this week, Randall. This whole episode was about Randall, which it was nice to dedicate an episode to him to get into what type of character he is more. He is evil and vile. And I am disgusted.

Many of you who have watched the episode probably won't want to relive the flogging scene. It was described as a flashback here and was horrid. I will only watch once. I won't watch it again, but my thoughts on it were that Jamie's back was already cut and damaged when he removes his shirt and he is still going to whip him and he does it to the point that Jamie may be on the point of death. Where his back is ripped open. I mean it seems like he is going to get to the bone. Ugh. Like I said I won't watch that again. UGh!

Emotions happening in this episode!

[caption id="" align="alignright" width="221"] Source: princejax[/caption]

I hate how the red coats treat Dougal, much worse than Claire was treated earlier on. I have to say Randall gutting Claire and having one of his soldiers repeatedly kick Claire! I wanted to murder him. Thank god for you Dougall! Thank god for you! Dougal leaves with Claire but is told he must give claire up to Randall the next day to further questions her, well he actually means further torture her. Dougal test Claire for her truth to find out that she is truly not a spy and proposes she do what he says if she wants to be kept out of Randalls hands. He says she must marry Jamie. He opposes it, but she must if she doesn't want to submit to Randal again.

Finally the wedding is happening next!

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="221"] Source: captainzoe[/caption]

I was kind of disappointed with this scene. I felt the whole episode was so dedicated to Randall, that the scenes with Dougall telling her she must marry and Jamie and her talking about getting married was done far too quickly. They should've ended it when Dougal telling her she must marry to give us more time, for the Jamie and Claire talk. I don't know. It just seemed like they zoomed through that scene too quickly. But even though I was horrified with this episode a bit. I loved it a lot more than the last couple of episodes. And finally Alas! the Wedding episode. I am so happy I can't freaking wait!!

TV Review: Outlander 1X05: Rent

This week on OUTLANDER I was pissed for Claire. I truly feel for this girl! Ugh! and cliffhanger! Looking forward to seeing what happens next!

Full on Anger going on here!

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="221"] Source: fyesoutlander[/caption]

This episode of Outlander really pushed a lot of buttons. I found myself so incredibly pissed while watching. I was put off by the way Claire was treated in this episode that it sickened me. I wanna say, why even bring her with you on this trip then? I know that is how it was back then, women didn't really have a voice and all that, but it still sickens me. I mean when the red coats came at the end I just wanted Claire to shout that yes! I'm being held against my will!! That's how mad I was. And what Dougal did to Jamie! Fuck you, Dougal! So many sad and mad emotions going on.

Cliffhanger alert! Cliffhanger alert!

[caption id="" align="alignright" width="221"] Source: bethwoodvilles[/caption]

And little comments I wanna make. Jamie's hair is longer!! I like it shorter much better and Claire looks so beautiful with her hair down. She needs to wear it down more often! The ending did end on a cliffhanger. Oh, the agony! But I am looking forward to the next episode, because we meet Jack Randall again. And I am looking forward to the confrontation between him and Claire again. And then after that, finally The Wedding Episode will be here! Yes! I'm so happy! Been looking forward to that since the beginning.

Can we please attack Dougal?

TV Review: Outlander 1X04: The Gathering

Ahhhhh! So sorry for the late review. Jeez. I didn't get to watch OUTLANDER til a few days ago and already the next episode comes out tomorrow.

Escape at all cost!

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="221"] Source: imerisya[/caption]

For this week on Outlander there wasn't too much going on. We have Claire planning her escape and getting oh, so close to leaving again. We have The Gathering where many people are pledging themselves to Colum. Dougal's drunken kiss. The hunt where out big boys go hunt a boar. And at the end the games. Yea. It looks like hardcore hockey to me. And the horror, barely any Jamie. He didn't show up til halfway through the episode. Disappointed. This probably would be my least favorite episode of them all, but it was still pretty good. Maybe I'll like tomorrow episode much better.

More Jamie? “Je suis prest.”

TV Review: Outlander 1X03: The Way Out

Another week for OUTLANDER and I am so excited. I want the next episode ASAP. This was a week for character and relationship developments. And learning just how deadly and brutal punishments were back then for just little things.

Brutal and Severe Punishments!

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="221"] Source: wanderinangel[/caption]

So for this week on Outlander I didn't like it as much as the first two episodes, because I felt like not much was going on. We got to see Claire to work doing her nursing and healing stuff and Colum's butt. And we really got to see the brutal side of things back in the 1700's. There are punishments if you do wrong and it's no light punishment like today in the world. A kid has stole something and got his ear nailed to a stake wood. I had to hide my face. That is just so brutal. I guess it's better than losing your hand, but not by much. And also with being a woman certain men look down on you. Ugh. I hate those types of men.

More Relationship Developments

[caption id="" align="alignright" width="221"] Source: wanderinangel[/caption]

We have more than enough, well maybe not, cute Jamie and Claire moments. I loved when Claire was teasing Jamie for catching him kissing Laoghaire. And the gazing at each other while Claire looked at Jamie's wound. And Jamie pulling out the nail on the boy, because Claire asked him to. By the end of the episode we hear of a tale of ones crossing though the stones and did make it back home. Now Claire is more determined than every to cross the stones again and get back home to Frank.

And alas, My favorite Jamie moments...

TV Review: Outlander 1X02: Castle Leoch

This has been the longest two weeks of my life, waiting for the second episode of OUTLANDER. And I have to tell you that it was just as good if not more than the first episode.

Back we are to Castle Leouch!

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="221"] Source: anjelia3[/caption]

Claire and the gang make it to Castle Louche and right away Claire realizes that she must blend in with this time to be able to survive it and make it back home in her time and she is very determined. The Lord of the Castle, Colum lets her know she can leave in 5 days time where she plans to go back to the stones. But Claire makes some mistakes along the way where Dougal and Colum are very suspicious of her and know Claire is hiding something.

Learning how to survive 1743...

[caption id="" align="alignright" width="221"] Source: anjelia3[/caption]

In this episode we really get to see how everything works in this time with the rules, work, and how much work it is for a lady to get dressed. Thank god all I have to worry about is a t-shirt and jeans now. We get to see Claire fix up Jamie a couple of time and develop more of a relationship with him. I have to say I do love how that is slowly developing.

A few emotional moments brought on...

I did have a few tearful moments in this episode. The first was when Jamie asks about Claire's husband and she breaks down and says he is not alive and Jamie holds her. I loved that scene, I started tearing up and I loved how Jamie consoled her. This is my favorite scene in this episode, not just because of Jamie holding Claire but we get to see Jamie shirtless to. Yum!

An ending that left me feel for Claire

At the end of the episode Lord Colum changes his mind and does not let Claire leave and that makes me tear up and feel for her because I cannot even imagine being in a place and time where you are trapped and they won't let you leave. It made me feel incredibly angry and and sad for her. I'm glad when tv shows and actors are able to make me feel a certain emotion. It means they're doing a great job! I'm looking forward to episode 3 next!

TV Review: Outlander 1X01: Sassenach

I have had OUTLANDER on my TBR List for a while and I have heard everything that is awesomeness about the books. Though I had not yet started the book until about a week before OUTLANDER the Tv Series premiered. Once the promos and previews started releasing I knew I had to check it out. And guess what? It's awesomeness!

Frank & Claire = Boredom for now!

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="221"] Source: cartimanduas[/caption]

The first episode was great. The first half of the episode focuses on Claire and Frank which I assumed that would be the focus. I am glad they gave Frank half the episode because once Claire leaves he gone. I did enjoy the little sex scenes. I felt like this when I read this part during the book, but the first half was boring as was Frank. It was hard for me to pay attention. One thing that I could do without is Claire's narration throughout the episode. I think it is needed because it's her story, but they had too much of it.

Jamie Alexander MacKenzie Fraser...

[caption id="" align="alignright" width="221"] Source: briannaefraser[/caption]

For the second half of the episode things took off splendidly. I was so into the second half of the episode that I hated when it ended. Claire meets Jack Randall. And He.is.an.ASS. And then she runs into Dougall and she finally meets Jamie Fraser. I loved all the Jamie and Claire scenes. They were all perfect. And OMFG! That scottish accent. ♥swoon alert♥ When he jumped off that horse and went to Claire with him and all his hotness. Oh, god! I'm a fan 4LIFE!

An Amazing First Episode!

The episode leaves off at Claire and Jamie and gang arriving at Castle Leoch. As far as first episodes goes this was an excellent one and I really liked it. I really think this is going to become one of those series I obsess about. Everything about it was wonderful. The actors did a phenomenal job thus far. And I am really freaking super excited for the next episode. Next Saturday can't come soon enough!

And alas, My favorite Jamie moments...

TV Review: Bitten 1x03: Trespass

Oh, no! Two episodes too soon to tell! Just kidding. The first two episodes of Bitten I loved, but I didn't really like this third episode. It became a little too boring and not exciting enough. So, I was bored much through the episode, but next week will be better.

Elena & Clay are spot on people!

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="221"] Source: lucreziatargaryen[/caption]

We leave off with another victim of the mutt on the Danvers property and it's a kid! So the pack is more than ready to find this mutt. We have Elena and Clay going into town into every bar to try to find this mutt. And we do get some short and sweet Clay and Elena scenes. Clay being jealous that Elena has somebody back home. And I feel for you Clay! I would totally choose you over Phillip any day of the week! And also right before Elena goes into the bar Clay says Elena looks perfect.

[caption id="" align="alignright" width="221"] Source: anjelia3[/caption]

In this episode, Elena is still having her problems with being a werewolf. Sometimes I'm at that point where I want to smack her and tell her to get over it. It's like she thinks it just happened. It's been years. I know eventually she'll deal, but I want her to deal now! When she can't deal, she runs away from her problems. Exactly what she did in the end of the episode. I know that eventually that she will come to terms that she is a werewolf and what needs to be done and accept who she is, but I hope it comes soon.

No! I wasn't ready for his death yet!

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="221"] Source: lucreziatargaryen[/caption]

I think the best part of this episode was the mutt attack in the club. Starting with Elena threatening the mutt and him beginning to change in the club and the mutt in shifter form attacking everyone. It. was. awesome. unfortunately in this episode, a member of the pack dies. I know it was coming, but that doesn't make that easier to deal with. Pete died and it sucks, because it was such an awesome character. He made me smile a lot! It won't be the same in the pack without him.

Just stop! We have a Phillip storyline?

[caption id="" align="alignright" width="221"] Source: fadingfaye[/caption]

Seriously? I have to admit, the Phillip stuff with Elena in the first episode was hot, but now that I have Clay in my life, it's like, no more Phillip! I just want more Clay! The Phillip scenes were alright, there were some that didn't really pertain to the story that I didn't get, like his business deal. But yea, I guess we get more Phillip screen time. And BTW, by-the-way, I DID NOT like Elena coming on and immediately jumping on him. UGH!

Clay, Take it off, baby! Take it off!
