As the mate of the Beast Lord, Curran, former mercenary Kate Daniels has more responsibilities than it seems possible to juggle. Not only is she still struggling to keep her investigative business afloat, she must now deal with the affairs of the pack, including preparing her people for attack from Roland, a cruel ancient being with god-like powers. Since Kate’s connection to Roland has come out into the open, no one is safe—especially those closest to Kate.

As Roland’s long shadow looms ever nearer, Kate is called to attend the Conclave, a gathering of the leaders from the various supernatural factions in Atlanta. When one of the Masters of the Dead is found murdered there, apparently at the hands of a shapeshifter, Kate is given only twenty-four hours to hunt down the killer. And this time, if she fails, she’ll find herself embroiled in a war which could destroy everything she holds dear…

"Your sword is made out of your grandmother’s bones?” “Okay, I see how it sounds weird when you say it in that tone of voice…”

I was so very excited and nervous to read MAGIC BREAKS. Excited, because finally I get my hands on another Kate Daniels book and nervous, because I've heard very scary things. You must be warned that some spoilers will be included because it's just not possible to review this book then, except saying how awesome it was, but I want to say so much more!

In the previous book Hugh D'Ambery finally makes his appearance and in this book Hugh still has his sick obsession with Kate and will do anything, kill anybody to get his hands on her and present her to Roland. And of all times Curran is away on business. MAGIC BREAKS is a little different from the previous books, but I still devoured and loved it. We have some minor characters we get to know more. We get to know more or see the rat Alpha, Robert and he is tired of being in the dark about Kate.

A character new from the previous book, Desandra is in the pack now and wants to challenge Jennifer for the role of Alpha. I seriously didn't remember much about the last book with the new characters, so I barely remember her. But, HOT DAMN! I like Desandra. She brought more life into the book in some parts and I loved it. And I loved her showing up Jennifer, because Jennifer is a total bitch, wants everyone to feel sorry for her, because her husband died and she isn't doing her duty as the Wolf Clan Alpha. Desandra deserves the role. So, the back and forth between the fate of Wolf Clan was awesome! Happy with the outcome!

Curran’s eyes went gold. His voice dropped into a rough growl. “If you’re going to shoot, make sure to empty the clip, because after you’re done, I’ll shove that gun up your ass sideways.” Blue Jacket blinked. “Can you even do that?” I asked. “Let’s find out.” Curran stared at the thug. “Well? Shoot, so we can start this experiment.”

My big thing that drove me insane was that Curran was absent for more than half of the book. That didn't sit well with me because I am a Curran Fanatic. You basically see him in the first chapter and won't see him again until you get through half of the book. That probably needed to happen though for storyline development. I freaking love Hugh and I welcome more of his craziness. I love Andrew's characters to death, every one of them!

And finally! We finally meet Roland! I know he's suppose to be the bad guy, but I like him! We get introduced to him, but we don't really know his agenda, because he was introduced close to the end of the book. And all we know right now is that he wants to get to know his daughter. But who knows? I need to get to know more about his character. I just freaking want more of this awesome series!

I don't know what to say about Kate and Curran! Curran was absent, but from what we did get he's still madly in love with Kate and he makes a big sacrifice for Kate and it will be interesting to see what the fallout of that decision will be. By the time I finished this book, I was in happy happy joy joy mode, because I believe there is so much more to come and I'm excited for it!

Baltimore, Maryland, is a city in alarming distress. Rising violence is fanning the flames of public outrage, and all law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, are catching blame. Thus the FBI’s latest ideas to improve public relations: a municipal softball league and workshops for community leaders. But the new commitments just mean more time Special Agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett have to spend apart when they’re happily exploring how to be more than by-the-book partners.

Then the latest spate of crime explodes in their faces—literally—throwing the city, the Bureau, and Ty and Zane’s volatile partnership both in and out of the office into chaos. They’re hip-deep in trouble, trying to track down bombers and bank robbers in the dark with very few clues, and the only way to reach the light at the end of the tunnel together requires Ty and Zane to close their eyes and trust each other to the fiery end.

“First time I saw you, after I got over hating you, I knew,” he said, echoing Ty’s words, “I knew I’d fall in love with you."

I ABSOLUTELY loved and adored DIVIDE & CONQUER. These books are getting better and better with each new book in the series. I never want Cut & Run to end. I need my Ty & Zane fix! In the previous book, Ty had told Zane that he loved Zane. So in this book Zane is trying to wrap his brain around that. But what remains to be true is, he can not get Ty Grady out of his mind!

“Well, you know my type," Ty responded with a saccharine smile as he passed Zane's desk. "No self control and loads of mental issues.”

One thing that I was excited to see before I started reading this installment was how Ty and Zane's relationship would change now that Ty told Zane that he was in love with him. One thing I loved was Ty being jealous of the hot waiter. And also Ty's Reacon Team makes their appearance in this book. And he comes out to them and we find out Ty's best friend, Nick had the hots for him. Oooooohhh!

Yeah, it might take Zane four months to decide if he loved someone, and then more to decide if that was a good idea. Ty didn't mind waiting.”

DIVIDE & CONQUER had a awesome plot and this book was really about Zane coming to a decision to Ty's "I love you". I loved this book from beginning to end. Ty and Zane had hilarious moments, great sex scenes, as usual. Oh, and that ending? Why end it like that? I swear these authors prefer torture by cliffhanger madness!

Review: The Will by Kristen Ashley

Title:  The Will

Series:  Magdalene, #1

Early in her life, Josephine Malone learned the hard way that there was only one person she could love and trust: her grandmother, Lydia Malone. Out of necessity, unconsciously and very successfully, Josephine donned a disguise to keep all others at bay. She led a globetrotting lifestyle on the fringes of the fashion and music elite, but she kept herself distant.

While Josephine was trotting the globe, retired boxer Jake Spear was living in the same small town as Lydia. There was nothing disguised about Jake. Including the fact he made a habit of making very bad decisions about who to give his love.

But for Josephine and Jake, there was one person who adored them. One person who knew how to lead them to happiness. And one person who was intent on doing it.

Even if she had to do it as her final wish on this earth

“Josie.” My name shook with his amusement and it was annoying because the way it did sounded lovely. “She gave me you.”

I was very worried before I began this book, because many KA Fans did not like this book so much, so I was dreadfully nervous. But Oh.my.god. I'm in the minority yet again! I FREAKING LOVED this book. And I can't wait for more Kristen Ashley books to follow. THE WILL is about Josie Malone, whose grandmother has passed and upon hearing her will it was declared that her grandmother gave Josie to Jake Spears. And her reaction? HORRIFIED!

I didn't like Josie so much in the beginning, but later on I warmed to her. The problem with her I had was her language. She talks like an older middle-aged woman from England with her speech. She says things like "unhand me" and "vexed". It was nice to have a whole different heroine, but good god. But in the end I got used to her weird language. She has a very horrible attitude in the beginning, which changed quickly as she warmed up to Jake and his children.

“You see, a woman who knows herself and her worth knows that her time is valuable and her heart is precious. She doesn’t give either to a man who can’t respect the gifts he’s being offered.”

Jake Spears is supposedly Josie's dream guy according to Grams. He is a classic Kristen Ashley alpha male hero. He was kind, gentle, protective and sweet! Also, he isn't afraid to tell it like it is. He has three kids and has been married three times. His kids were awesome. I always love when kids are in the mix in Kristen Ashley's books. And I loved his kids.

I was seriously over the moon when we got things, not other Josie's POV, but also in Jake's. That is complete AWESOMENESS! I greatly enjoyed how all the secrets about Grams and Jake came out in the end. The turn out was heartbreaking and just plain EPIC like many other Kristen Ashley books. In the end, I thought THE WILL was another great Kristen Ashley book. And I am looking forward to more!
